"Capturing" our work

This afternoon the students had the opportunity to explore with many different materials. They used the materials to create, story tell and invent! The students were then asked to "capture" their work. This is a time where they are using their literacy skills such as looking closely, sketching and writing. The students are practicing using their knowledge of letter sounds to add labels, sentences and descriptions to their work. They are given the choice of "capturing" in their Story Workshop journals, by creating a "Little Book" or they can make a brochure.
