Exploring Prince's Island Park
Today the grade 1 students explored Prince's Island Park. We observed and documented signs of animals, the Peace Bridge and used our scientific sketching skills that we learned from Ms. Rebecca to sketch some of the beautiful flowers. There were so many geese along the water and a large group of fuzzy, yellow babies. It was super interesting seeing all the shapes and designs that make up the Peace Bridge. We then had a lovely lunch together and made our way back to the bus. We were working on our observational skills, iPAD documentation skills and our scientific sketching skills today.

Math with Ms. Moore
Yesterday Ms. Moore presented us with this math problem:
The answer is 15 what is the question.
Our challenge was to come up with as many different number combinations that could end in the number 15. We had to show a number sentence and a picture that matched the problem. It was interesting to see how many of us saw different groupings and solved the problem in different ways.
