Making Blueprints

Room 10 is learning about the importance about planning and thinking about projects before doing them. Today we explored how Blueprints can help us to organize and plan our projects and to be mindful of the materials we are using.  We used the story The Gruffalo to guid our learning. Our challenge was to make something that will help the main character (mouse) walk through the forest without having to worry about being eaten by the other animals.

We learned that:
1. We need to come up with an idea
2. We need to draw our idea (blueprint) on paper
3. We need to list the materials we will need for this project
4. We need to be mindful about what and how we use materials

Tomorrow we will head down to the iLab and start creating our ideas. Stay Tuned!
